Dancers learns steps
Athletes learn plays
Musicians learn rhythm
From those in their glory days.
Dancers have studios
Athletes have fields
Musicians have concert halls
For the talents they wield.
Ah, but writers…
Writers have trials
And hard tribulations
Writers have breakdowns
With little elation.
Writers have nothing
Except time alone.
There’s barely a comment
On diction or tone.
But writers continue
And writers persist
Against all heartbreak and odds,
For a crack at the bestseller list 🙂
